The community's response to this tragedy has been criticized as highly insensitive, with some residents allegedly suggesting the puppy committed suicide and issuing threats against other dogs. This incident has led to an FIR being filed and has generated significant negative sentiment and calls for public condemnation of the society's lack of empathy.

The project has faced substantial delays, with some buyers experiencing up to five years of postponement from the original promised possession dates. The developer has been accused of charging interest for these delays and has faced rulings from the RERA Tribunal, which dismissed their appeals and upheld the right of buyers to receive interest due to the builder's failure to provide possession. There are also allegations of builder greed, lack of transparency, and post-sale neglect regarding essential services like water, drainage, and electricity. Some customers have reported being cheated, and there are issues with the builder's financial practices, such as not clearing employee settlements.

A major recurring issue is the drainage system, which is described as 'sucks,' and severe problems with the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), including sewage being directly released into the Kalundre River. This environmental violation has led to 'stinking water' and 'insect-infested water entering toilets,' posing serious health hazards. Overall, the maintenance is perceived as low or non-existent.

The property has shown poor investment returns, with prices stagnating or even decreasing over a long period; for instance, a unit quoted at 1.1 crore in 2013 was selling for 1 crore twelve years later. This stagnation is partly attributed to the continuous launch of new towers, which can depress prices for existing inventory. There is a perception of high unsold inventory, leading to residents attempting to sell their flats at significantly lower prices (e.g., 80-90 lakhs), and an expectation that prices may drop further.

Despite being described as a large township, the project suffers from internal congestion. The parking area is specifically highlighted as 'absolutely trash,' and residents experience daily traffic jams within the society itself, particularly during peak hours when people are trying to enter or exit the complex.

There have been reports of safety and security incidents in the vicinity of the complex, including mobile snatching near the junction of the service road and the JNPT highway. Concerns have also been raised about police inaction, with reports suggesting that authorities merely complete formalities without effective resolution. The builder's alleged post-sale neglect also implies a lack of attention to security measures, potentially leading to issues like theft.

There has been confusion regarding property tax collection, with residents receiving property tax notices from the Kolkhe Grampanchayat despite the project having received Occupation Certificates (OC) and Completion Certificates (CC) from CIDCO. This raises questions about the competent authority for property tax collection and creates administrative ambiguity for residents.

Residents have reported issues with mobile network connectivity within the Marathon Nexzone area. The signal strength is described as very low, leading to frequent call drops and making it difficult to maintain phone conversations.
