I'm genuinely interested to know
This needs it's own sub reddit.
I just happen to read this entire thread of comments and I must say you are quite mature for your age. Well done! Empathy and compassion cannot be explained; it needs to be in one's nature.

There is a strong and widespread understanding among the populace that the traditional Swastika symbol, deeply rooted in Hindu culture, represents peace, prosperity, and auspiciousness. This symbol is commonly used in religious contexts, on homes, and during festivals, and is clearly distinguished from the Nazi Hakenkreuz by many, despite superficial similarities.
Swastika is an ancient and greatly auspicious symbol of the Hindu tradition. It is inscribed on Hindu temples, homes and other prayer...
The real meaning of Swastik symbol in Hinduism is "Auspicious", "Be good, Being good or the one which brings good".
The nazi swastika is called hakenkreuz, swastika is indian
I think there is a difference between the Hindu symbol and Nazi symbol. Almost everyone doesn't know the difference
For us Swastika has always been a symbol of peace and context matters.

There is a clear demand for better education on world history, particularly regarding the distinction between the traditional Swastika and the Nazi Hakenkreuz, and the historical context of Nazism. Many believe that a lack of proper historical understanding contributes to the inadvertent or misguided display of the Nazi symbol, and that improved education is crucial to prevent such occurrences and foster greater sensitivity.
Awareness is important.
Our history education is non existent
The Indian govt needs to make an effort to correct this. It's actually very defamatory to call it a swastika. The only right term is hakenkreuz.
I'm a history student and I know for a fact that 95% of India has never read an actual history book and most of them get their info from WhatsApp Uni.

Where residents want improvements
There is a pervasive and concerning trend in Pune and surrounding regions where the Nazi Hakenkreuz symbol, often accompanied by other Nazi imagery or text like "Fuhrer" or "SS," is openly displayed on personal vehicles (motorcycles, scooters, cars) and even on business logos. This widespread visibility of a symbol associated with genocide and hate is a significant negative aspect of the local environment.
I don't know what's happening in Pune. I have myself spotted many Royal Enfields in Pune having the same Nazi Swastika stickers on them.
Nazi party member spotted in Viman Nagar!!
There is a builder named "Shubh Developers" on Symbiosis Road, Viman Nagar, #Pune. They have the logo of swastika in their name but the swastika is tilted like a Nazi symbol.
I see a lot of bikes with hakenkreuz here in Pune, and they put them there intentionally alongside a silhouette of hitler and write things like "one man, one world, one rule".
Scooter in pune having nazi symbol

There are concerns that some individuals in Pune intentionally display the Nazi Hakenkreuz, not out of ignorance, but due to a genuine admiration for Hitler or an alignment with radical, nationalist, or anti-Semitic ideologies. This is sometimes seen as an attempt to be "edgy" or to express a strongman image, with some even associating it with historical figures who opposed British rule, despite Hitler's own racial views.
Man purposely put Hakencruz their. These people idolize Hitler because it seems cool to kill million people irl
While I think they may have genuinely mistaken the Haken Kreuz for the Swastika, but I also don't rule out the possibility that the owner genuinely supports Nazism
Still there are people in India who rave about Hitler
There are definitely few Hitler fans around here. Swastika symbol and nazi symbol can be confused but this is a custom made sticker which he probably got printed.
No way the owner is not aware of what it means.

A significant challenge in Pune is the widespread confusion and lack of awareness regarding the distinct meanings and historical contexts of the Nazi Hakenkreuz and the traditional Hindu Swastika. Many individuals, including vehicle owners and even some businesses, mistakenly adopt the Nazi symbol, believing it to be the auspicious Hindu emblem. This ignorance is often attributed to insufficient historical education and a general lack of exposure to global historical events, leading to unintentional offense and misrepresentation.
Swastika symbol and nazi symbol can be confused but this is a custom made sticker which he probably got printed.
Most people in India arent well versed in what happened during ww2... they think that since Hitler allied with Subhash Chandra Bose, he was India's friend.
I would give it a benefit of doubt. The person is ignorant.
He probably has no clue what nazism is and thinks it’s a the actual swastika - a religious symbol
Looks like the owner got confused between the swastik and nazi symbol.

A segment of the population exhibits a degree of indifference or a lack of serious concern regarding the display of the Nazi Hakenkreuz. This attitude stems from a perception that the symbol's negative connotations are primarily a Western issue, or that its historical significance is not directly relevant to their local context. Some dismiss concerns as "overdramatic" or suggest that people should "chill," indicating a disconnect from the symbol's global implications.
It's not that serious brother
Why do you guys care so much? For us Swastika has always been a symbol of peace and context matters.
Most people in India are not aware of Nazi Swastika, owner probably just stuck it because it looked cool
No need to overreact dude, he got confused between the swastikas, no one is "supporting genocide" here
You are an idiot to post this. Don't you know the importance in india.

A notable negative trend is the tendency to contextualize or diminish the gravity of Nazi atrocities by drawing comparisons to the historical genocides and exploitation perpetrated by the British Empire in India. This perspective often suggests that the world's focus on Nazi crimes is disproportionate, given the immense suffering inflicted by colonial powers, and questions why symbols associated with British rule are not met with similar condemnation.
If people are allowed to support hamas then why not Hitler and Churchill
The british were way worse than Hitler. Indians in working camps set up by british were served less than half the daily ration after 14-16 hours of hard labour work as compared to the ration given to Jews in the Auschwitz concentration camp before they were sent to the chambers.
Indians under british faced worst atrocities then Jews in Nazi Germany.
Why do you guys care so much? For us Swastika has always been a symbol of peace and context matters.
Well Churchill is still hailed as the lord savior in most of western world.

Several businesses and organizations in Pune have been noted for displaying the Nazi Hakenkreuz or for historical associations with Nazi ideology. This includes a construction developer using a tilted swastika in its logo and a sweet shop named "Nazi Sweets." Historical accounts also link certain local organizations to German Nazism, raising concerns about the presence of such ideologies within the business and social fabric of the city.
On 15 August 1947, whilst rest of India hoisted the tricolor, in Pune Nathuram Godse was at a flag hoisting organised by RSS - hoisting of a Saffron, Triangular penant with a Swastika emblazoned across it, recitation of a prayer and a promise to unite India from Indus till East..
Nazi Sweets: We have branches in India, UAE, and UK but no branch in Germany due to political reasons
I’m from Pune and I know RSS has history of affiliation to German Nazism. RSS learns German & believe in Swastika, purity of Aryan Race. They’ve also endorsed Jewish Holocaust.
