General Quality of Life Concerns in Indian Cities

Living in major Indian cities often entails significant compromises on quality of life. Common issues include pervasive pollution (air, noise), heavy traffic, poor infrastructure (e.g., lack of proper footpaths), and a challenging work culture with long hours and high pressure. These factors can limit outdoor activities, personal time, and overall well-being, even for those residing in affluent areas or gated communities.

You can't measure India quality of life just by the salary. Safety, freedom, lack of daily stress, freedom to have a free mind, etc... You can't put $$ to it.

Indian cities(Pune, Blore, Mumbai, Delhi specifically) are becoming more and more unlivable. All your daily activities -like hiking and going for quiet walks are going to be non existent during the week... There are no proper footpaths... and theres toooo much honking for anyone to be able to enjoy a walk tbh.

No it's not possible to have this lifestyle in india. There is no point beating around the bush, if you want to live in india, you need to expect very bad or non existent civic sense from people.

The problem is even if you are rich you cannot change the infra or the city, civic sense of people, safety, corruption etc. You can buy a big beautiful home but you cannot change anything outside of your home.

India is a far cry from the west in terms of female safety & dignity - You’ll lose your independence as a female. There’ll be no moment in your entire life in India where you’ll not have to look over your shoulders.
